Fireworks!

The result of my curiosity regarding firework bans…

Part of my job at Microsoft involves surfacing interesting patterns or correlations in Bing search data that we can publish on the Bing blog. As a former resident of Oregon, a state with restrictions on fireworks, I was always curious how wide spread the practice of driving across state lines to avoid the firework ban actually was.

Luckily I was able to use firework related searches on Bing to map out the general level of interest around the US regarding the pyrotechnic marvels. Here’s a link to result of the quick investigation…we’ll see if I have time to dig deeper in the future.
